Balikbayod—Returning Wave runs organized surf trips where we surf with the groms at our program locations (currently in the Southern Philippines). You can be a beginner, intermediate or advanced level surfer to enjoy the waves with us.
What to Expect
Some of our locations have little to no tourism while other spots are more developed. Accommodations range from homestays to small resorts with restaurants. We support volunteerism on our trips, so expect to help us do activities with the kids such as program registration assistance, beach clean-ups, craft workshops, documentary filming and more. If you have a special skill you’d like to share with their communities, we will help organize the workshops. Bring some surfboards for you to ride and leave behind for our after-school surfing programs.
